Our Class Makes Gingerbread Houses

The class decorated and created little gingerbread houses last week. they were innovative and certainly "sweet". The students had a very good time deciding what to use for doors, chimneys, windows, and roof material.

Owl Pellets

Our Class Explores What Owls Eat
On Wednesday our class was able to examine owl pellets and see what was inside. Many of the students were able to identify bones and which animal they belonged to. The class also were able to try out scientific drawing and answer some questions that they had before the activity.

Winter Fun-Inside And Out

Our Class Builds Snow People And Spaghetti Towers
We were able to have some great days in the snow sledding and building snow people. Our science for the week and next is on structure building. We have gone over terms such as stability, base, model, and structure. They were very creative with their engineering tasks. We started with discussions about how buildings and other structures stay up and worked with blocks first to make a stable base. Our towers and structures are on display in the library.
