We are just at two weeks of school and we have already learned about Tucker The Turtle, Mat Man, the butterfly life cycle, Conscious Discipline, and getting to know each other even better. Our unit on apples will start next week and hopefully our "class pets", some in chrysalis form will be transforming soon. We have also started with some of the first portions of our Reader's Workshop and have been working on number sense and numeracy. Our students are also science buffs, (like their teacher), and have been giving some incredible insight into their background knowledge. Below you will find but a portion of the wonderful time they have spent together already.
